El Salvador government was supposed to enter to the second phase of the economic reopening, however the government authorities reported that it will be postponed for other 15 days due to the increase in cases of COVID-19. Initially the reopening plan of phase two was considered for July 7^th. But, those activities will be postponed for July 21^st.

«Since the pandemic plan was established, the transition was considered accordingly with the behavior of the pandemic and therefore on compliance with the preventive measures,» the Government reported in a statement⁶.

With the suspension of phase 2, the dates established in the reopening plan are also modified. So the new scheduling for the implementation of the remaining phases are as follows:

• Phase 2: July 21st
• Phase 3: August 4 th
• Phase 4: August 18 th
• Phase 5: September 1st

Also, for phase 2 will be considered the below activities:

• Commercial Centers: Open supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, essential services, public services, telephone, cable and internet. In addition, restaurants and food areas in open/closed spaces but following the sanitary protocols; opening of opticians, beauty salons, hairdressers and barbers, business services in the appointment modality will also be allowed; recreational activities will continue prohibited.
• Collective transport; restaurants and coffee shops can be served at the table.
• Go for a walk.
• Plastic industry.
• Paper and cardboard industry.
• Shoes industry.
• Cosmetic industry.
• Manufacturing industry
• Creative industries.
• Professional services.
• Business services.
• Call Centers.
• Real estate activities.
• Aviation schools.
