Mexico City will continue with an orange epidemiological traffic light with alert from October 19^th to 25^th, reported the Secretary of Health, Oliva López. In a press videoconference, the capital city official explained that in recent days there was a slight increase in daily hospital admissions due to Covid-19.

The Secretary of Health also indicated that if the hospitalizations continue, some of the activities already allowed in the capital could be restricted or the schedules would be modified.

The government of Mexico City has already received the second batch of vaccines against influenza, which contains 280 thousand doses; however, there are going to be released during the week.

According to the Ministry of Health, the traffic light will continue to show only one state in green: Campeche, due to the low risk of contagion in the area.

However, there are 17 states that were established as orange: Aguascalientes, Mexico City, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Colima, Durango, State of Mexico, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Nayarit, Nuevo León, Oaxaca, Querétaro, Sinaloa, Yucatán and Zacatecas.

In addition, the states of Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chiapas, Guanajuato, Michoacán, Morelos, Puebla, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí, Sonora, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, Tlaxcala, as well as Veracruz will continue in the yellow color.
