The government announced that big churches can have 300 people in their services. The ministry of health has approved this capacity to big churches that are able to respect 1.8 meters of social distancing however the use of face mask is mandatory. Another measure is that the service cannot last more that one hour and a half.

On the other hand, the government announced that any foreigner that has a legal residence in Costa Rica can enter the country. They must have a medical insurance that covers the expenses for COVID 19 and have a 14-day quarantine. At this time, tourists can only enter the country by air or sea.
